Step to prepare a C program

There are five step to prepare a C program for execution on the computer. These step are creating and editing saving complying thinking and execution of a program a brief description of the steps is given below;

1.Creating Source Program
The first step in preparing a program is writing editing and debugging of this  source program. The program written in a high level language is called as source program. A source program is  created in a text editor.

2.Saving The Source Program

After writing the source program, it is saved on the  disk.The C program is saved on the disk as a text file with an extension C.

3.Compiling the Source Program

The process of converting a program into machine program is called compiling.The program that used to convert the source program into machine Program is called compiler.
The computer take the source program and convert it into the machine program. The machine program is called object program it is saved in a file with an extension.obj.

A C program may contain  predefined Routnice and function. This function are contained in separate files. These files are part of the C compilier and are called library files or runtime libraries.

The C program in the library files East time it executes. Therefore, these  files are combined with the object program.The process combining the required library files with the object program is called linking.
After linking in the library file the execuable file of the program is created. This file is saved on the disk is an extension.exe.

5.Loading and Running Program
In this step the program is run on the computer system. The executable file is run by loading it into the computer memory. This is done but system loader.

Turbo C  IDE has several menus. these menu contain command for developing a program. A menu can be opened by clicking on its name in the in the menu bar. It  can also be open by pressing the Alt key together with the first letter of the menu name. For example, Alt+F pressed to open the File menu.
